FTDI drivers certification
IPSES was among the first Italian companies to use the FTDI chip that integrates a USB slave converter allowing to interface a normal RS232 serial bus to a PC using the USB port.
Service of upgrading systems with a serial interface on systems with USB interface
We have now a wide experience in this field, having made and followed dozens of upgrade projects which allowed to renew embedded systems with RS232 interface into modern devices with USB interface, without ever leading to distortions of the initial project.
Since several years IPSES offers its expertise and experience in the field to renew the systems of its customers (also developed by third parties), migrating the RS232 interface to a more modern and convenient USB interface, with minimal changes to project.
The project is followed in all its parts, including both the supply of Windows WHQL-certified drivers and all the needed software support to make a complete migration of your system with no problems.
Service of Microsoft WHQL certification for FTDI driver
IPSES provides a WHQL recertification service for FTDI drivers addressed to all companies that already use them but who, having changed the PID and / or the VID to identify their products, have now no longer a certificated driver which is no longer usable in the last 64-bit Windows systems.
Once an INF file has been edited, its original digital signature is no longer valid. Any attempt to load a driver that package includes a modified INF file as a clean install will not work (for example in Windows Vista and Windows 7 at 64-bit) or result in a very low professional warning window.
IPSES, once certified the new driver for the client, may also runs its online distribution through Microsoft's Windows Update Driver Distribution Service, allowing plug and play driver installation. In this mode, when for the first time the client will connect to a computer with Internet available, the drive rwill be installed by downloading it directly from the Microsoft server.
Microsoft operating systems for which certification support is provided are as follows:
