GeCO - Geiger Counter
Code: GeCO
Category: Measure
Interface Type: Ethernet
GeCo has been designed as a smart meter for Geiger Müller detectors, but it can be connected to different probes, making it suitable for measuring radioactive event counts, equivalent dose intensity, and surface contamination.
Its Compact size, lightweight, and high capacity, long-lasting rechargeable battery pack make GeCo a versatile instrument either for laboratory and field measurements.
By using a BNC connector, several probes (Geiger Müller, proportional, scintillator) can be connected by selecting the working voltage depending on the type of probe to be interfaced.
The front keyboard and LCD display allow you to easily set up the measurement parameters and view the results. An integrated log memory stores up to 100 test cycles that can then be downloaded by a PC for later data processing.
GeCo is equipped with an Ethernet port for instrument interfacing and remote control via a dedicated WEB server. The server can handle at least two simultaneous connections and implements a security level enabling the access only in view mode.
GeCo can store up to 40 conversion coefficients for the calculation of the equivalent dose and surface contamination, each of which is associated with a specific radionuclide.
The instrument can be set to execute individual measurements, with user-managed start and stop, and timed measurements (from 30 s to 24 h), up to 99 consecutive cycles.
